The cells are collectively able to be played back as what’s called a “scene” and can be triggered by any midi controller or your mouse. The grid-based view allows users to drop audio or midi clips into each of the cells. You can choose to work in both views simultaneously, or one or the other. The linear, standard timeline is still present but it’s joined by a cell, grid-based timeline.
